Peter Chauncey is the principal of PWC Solutions, LLC, which provides consulting and contract services in health care matters and wealth management. He has spent more than 30 years in health care and health plan organizations in officer and senior leadership positions. 

Mr. Chauncey has overseen all aspects of health plan operations including network development and administration, sales and marketing, medical affairs, health services and quality administration, product development, legal services and regulatory compliance. He has experience with commercial, Medicare and Medicaid populations.

His experience includes serving as president of the Carolinas market for local and regional business with Aetna until June of 2015. Prior to Aetna’s purchase of Coventry Health Care, he was the executive vice president and chief operating officer of the Coventry Health Plans in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia. 

Prior to his association with Coventry, he spent 17 years with Kaiser Permanente, holding regional medical administration leadership roles organizing and operating medical care delivery and health plan operations in three regions across four states and the District of Columbia.

He received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a master’s degree in Health Administration from the School of Public Health at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a Life Fellow in the American College of Health Care Executives.
