2019 Open Enrollment ends October 31, 2018.
You should have already recieved your decision guide in the mail. This guide includes information to help you choose the best plan for yourself and your family. It is important to keep your address current!
It is critical for your address to be accurate in eBenefits, the Plan’s enrollment system. To update your address, log into eBenefits, which you can find on the State Health Plan website. It’s also important to inform your employing unit or the State Retirement Systems.
Here’s a quick overview of what actions you will need to take during Open Enrollment and some upcoming opportunities to learn more.
Active Employees
During Open Enrollment, ALL ACTIVE MEMBERS WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY ENROLLED IN THE 70/30 PLAN, WHICH WILL HAVE AN $85 EMPLOYEE-ONLY PREMIUM. MEMBERS CAN REDUCE THIS PREMIUM BY $60 DOWN TO A $25 EMPLOYEE-ONLY PREMIUM BY COMPLETING THE TOBACCO ATTESTATION. MEMBERS WHO WISH TO REDUCE THEIR MONTHLY PREMIUM BY COMPLETING THE TOBACCO ATTESTATION OR WHO WISH TO ENROLL IN THE 80/20 PLAN WILL NEED TO TAKE ACTION DURING OPEN ENROLLMENT.

The State Health Plan will be hosting webinars in September and October for our active employees and non-Medicare members regarding Open Enrollment.

SUBSCRIBERS WHO WISH TO REDUCE THEIR MONTHLY PREMIUM BY COMPLETING THE TOBACCO ATTESTATION OR WISH TO ENROLL IN THE 80/20 PLAN WILL NEED TO TAKE ACTION DURING OPEN ENROLLMENT.
PLEASE NOTE: IN THE 80/20 PLAN, BY COMPLETING THE TOBACCO ATTESTATION, YOU CAN EARN A WELLNESS PREMIUM CREDIT THAT WILL REDUCE YOUR MONTHLY PREMIUM BY $60 A MONTH, DOWN TO $50.

Medicare Primary Retiree Members
All Medicare retirees currently enrolled in the 70/30 Plan will be automatically enrolled into the UnitedHealthcare® (UHC) Group Medicare Advantage (PPO) Base Plan effective January 1, 2019. You will need to take action during Open Enrollment if you want to be enrolled in a different plan option.
If you are currently enrolled in a UnitedHealthcare® (UHC) Group Medicare Advantage Plan and are satisfied with that plan, you do NOT need to take any action during Open Enrollment, you will remain in the same plan.
Any current Medicare member not enrolled in Medicare Part B as of August 1, 2018, will NOT be automatically enrolled into the UHC Group Medicare Advantage (PPO) Base for January 1, 2019.
