Quit It! Great American Smokeout is November 15

<p>Tobacco claims the lives of approximately 14,200 North Carolinians each year. The third Thursday of every November marks the Great American Smokeout. By quitting, even for one day, smokers take an important step toward better health. It&rsquo;s never too late to quit!</p>

Tobacco claims the lives of approximately 14,200 North Carolinians each year. The third Thursday of every November marks the Great American Smokeout. This is a day nationally designated to encourage tobacco users to make a plan to quit or quit that day.  By quitting, even for one day, smokers take an important step toward better health.
