The State Health Plan has expanded preventive care benefits for 2020. Preventive care is now available in all three plans – the 70/30 Plan (new this year), the 80/20 Plan and the High Deductible Health Plan – with no out-of-pocket costs to you! Preventive care is routine health care, such as an annual physical that includes screenings, services and counseling to help prevent illness, disease or other health problems.
What Services Are Covered at 100%?
Preventive care that is 100% covered includes many important services like the ones listed below. To view a full list of preventive care services, please refer to the 2020 Preventive Services Summary.
- Immunizations
- Adult and Child Obesity Services - Obesity screening, Behavioral intervention, Nutritional counseling
- Adult Preventive Care - Routine exams
- Adult Screening Test - Cholesterol (lipid), Colorectal (Colonoscopies), Diabetes, Pap test, Screening mammograms, Prostate screening
- Women's Health Services include - Breastfeeding support and counseling, Contraceptive methods and counseling, Gestational diabetes screening (pregnant women), Well-woman visits
- Well-Baby/Well-Child Care - Physical examinations, Sensory screening (vision and hearing), Developmental / behavioral assessments
Tobacco cessation support is also covered as part of your preventive benefits. Tobacco cessation counseling is available at a CVS MinuteClinic or certain Primary Care Provider offices. Nicotine replacement therapy is also available.
